Finalization invitations or announcements

Hi Everyone:
After waiting for a very long 17 months, I have been told today that our finalization will finally happen within the next two months. My questions is this please: Has anyone found invitations or announcements that they have used for the after party? Thanks for your help.

Thanks

Hi:
Just wanted to extend my thank you to people who responded with well wishes and information. I have been exploring different web sites and have decided to probably make my own on a computer using some of the ideas I have gathered. I was informed just this morning that the finalization hearing will probably occur in middle to late February, finally. Again thanks to all. Nadkins

my son was adopted around christmas and i ordered a stamp from office depot that said

thomas william
officially a smith
december 10, 2003

i used it to make ornaments for those who attended the adoption and baptism, but i also used it to stamp the inside of regular thank you cards. i order announcements on line that i had printed to say

thomas william
born: 5/10/01
placed in my home and in my heart: 9/10/01
officially a smith: 12/10/03

proud mom: mckenna smith

i also used the stamp on the outside of the envelope for the announcements.

mckenna:

What a wonderful idea, I had my son baptized at the age of 3 months but I was looking for gift ideas for the finalization party. So if you have any ideas I would love to hear them. Congradulations on your finalization it seems like yours look a long time as well.

are you adopting from the state system? how were you able to baptise your child before they were legally yours? how many people will be at the finaliztion? i had also thought of picture frames (you know those cheapy plastic clear ones) and using paint markers or a stamp to put the date of the finaliztion on the frame and then send a picture of the day with your thank you cards for the person to put into their fram later.

I did not adopt from the state system. I went through an adoption agency. The Priest knowing my family and such took the paperwork I had and baptized my son for me. I will not get the final paperwork from the church until I bring him the birth certificate but the date will reflect Nov. 2002. I am not sure of the size of the party yet, however we have a very large extended family, approximatley 150 aunts, uncles and first cousins so it will probably be at least 100 with friends and close family members. The frame idea is a good one also, I like the thought of sending it with the thank you note, However I will probably ask for no gifts being he just received so much for Christmas and his birthday from everyone. However, thank you notes for just attending would work. Love your idea, keep them coming and thanks again.
