A twist of fate.

Hello my friends. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but when you read this you will understand. As some of you know my dh and I were matched with a pbmom whom we've grown very fond of who gave birth almost two weeks ago. We received news last Wednesday that although she had signed the surrender paperwork her boyfriend had not and is now going to parent. I don't think I've ever cried so hard in my life. My daughter, husband and myself had a pretty rough New Year but got eachother through it.
Friday (just two days after our sad news) we got a call from our agency that a baby boy had been born and both parents had already signed the surrender paperwork and left the hospital. Needless to say we were on the road within the hour to pick up our son. He is such an angel. I truly believe that had we not have gone through such heartache I wouldn't be sitting here holding this beautiful baby I love so much.

I just had to tell you how happy I am for you. You must be thrilled. God works in mysterious ways. How great that heartache turned into happiness.

Congratulations!

I am so happy for you and your family. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. It's hard to understand why some things happen the way they do, but God already has a plan for us. Now you know what your's was.

What a wonderful way to start the new year!

Oh my! How great is this! It's awesome, to see the Lord's plan come in, when we are willing to sit back, and "let Him" take control. To know all along this little boy was your all along, and it just took a little more time to become a reality! What did you pick for the name? Was the other bmom expecting a boy too, so you will be okay with all that you bought? Had you bought anything? Have you had a shower? I'll pause with my 20 questions, till you have a chance to write back! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Heartfelt congrats are coming your way!!! I too felt the tears well up when I started to read your post and than they really came down for the ending..... or actually the beginning. As I have always been told things happen for a reason and even though the reason is not clear at the time all is revealed and as you can see the angel meant to be a part of your family and your hearts found his way to you.

Look at it this way, he pushed the other baby out of the way so he could come home, he was truly intended to be yours from the beginning, he just took a different path.

Best wishes and remember ........ keep an extra diaper handy when changing your son, I'm sure you found out the reason for that by now.

Congratulations! A similar thing happened to us with our first baby! We were on the airplane on our way to pick up "baby A" when we found out that the bmother had changed her mind! Complete heartbreak! However, we continued our trip and when we arrived that night (midnight) the adoption agency called and said there was another baby that we had been selected for...just miles away from where we were! It is amazing how these precious souls find their way "home"!

I am so happy for you and your family!!!!!

Marie

I saw the title to your thread and I was afraid to open it, afraid to read the first sentences, what a suprise to read the end. I am so sorry that you had to go through such a difficult few days before opening up again... you must feel like you just ran a marathon! and the holidays on top of it. Congratulations and Happy New Year!!! Best to your whole family.

This is hoping that you and yours... especially the newest addition to your family have a very wonderful new year...

Are we going to get any details on the little guy? You know... the nosey things such as birthday, weight, length, and a cute little picture to boot?

Like they say...The right one will come

What wonderful news!!!! I know you did not enjoy the experience of an "adoption miscarrage" but having that new baby in your arms makes it a lot easier. Your story helps to support the saying we see here a lot ...The right one will come along. Enjoy your new baby.

Best wishes,
Pam
