Hi..
I was just wondering if anyone has used a facilitator in S. california " a loving alternative" I talked w/ the owner today and she said they usually match couples w/i 6months and has recommendations she will send me. It's a flat fee of $8500. If anyone has used them...can you please tell me how it went & also is $8500 too much to pay for this kind of service. I really would like to know. Thank you. Nicole |

Hi Nicole!
We used them and were very happy with the service. Our child's Birthmother was also happy, too. I take it you talked to Cindy? Besides being a facilitator, she's also an adoptive Mom. What impressed me is that she gets proof of pregnancy and once matched, can usually get a picture of the potential Birthmother for you. She also takes phone calls from prospective Birthmothers 24 hours a day. I know there were times when our child's Birthmother just wanted to talk and she talked to her for as long as she wanted to talk about anything she wanted to talk about. As for the fees, I don't know if this is still the policy or not, but if you are open to an AA mixed baby, the fees are cut in half. If you have more questions, please let me know. JJ |

HI..
Thanks for your response...it's good to hear a positive response on this. I am really concerned about the fees, though. It just seems so high. I guess it's worth it, if you're matched sooner .Nicole |

I think their fees are pretty much in sinc with other facilitators, but might I suggest you contact some others and see what their fees are compared to them.

The reason the fees are lower is to give an incentive for couples to adopt AA or AA mixed children. There aren't enough AA couples out there who are looking to adopt and most caucasion people want a caucasion baby. So, in a hope for finding homes for all of the babies, the fees are lowered.
