Hi Everyone,
We just started the adoption process and have been reading a lot of threads to gather information. I knew adopting would be expensive, but what I have seen the sum is stagering. The costs will sting, but it will be definitely worth it. Does anyone have suggestions to sensible cost saving measures during this process?

Have you considered foster adopting? This is the route we took for several reasons, including financial. The out-of-pocket expenses are generally minimal, if there are any at all. We have a wonderful four year-old son who was placed with us when he was nine months, and then adopted at two and one-half years old.

There's a unique set of issues that goes along with foster adopting, and it's not for everyone, but take a look at it.
