Cool Adoption Update...

We have been signed up with our Agency only 2 weeks. I posted last week that a expectant mother wanted to see our profile..Well, I got a email from them last night. They told me that the expectant mother has 2 profiles that she is praying over to adopted her baby which is due Mid December..We are one of the familes that she has picked!! I think we will know tomorrow...

Just keep us in your prayers, please..I do pray that she will pick the right family for her child. If it is not us, I won't be mad at all. I will just know that God has a different plan for us!!

Thanks for letting me share this..

Hugs,

Cathy

Hey Cathy,

Good luck. Hopefully she'll choose you, but if she doesn't, someone else will soon.

congrats! i hope i am not being too personal, but are you listed as being open to children with any ethnic background. i noticed you have adopted a multi-ethinc daughter (who is adorable by the way) and i was wondering if bmoms are more apt to choose a family that is already multi-ethnic. i too have adopted a multi-ethnic child and was just wondering if bparents might be more interested in a multi-ethnic family when place a child that may be a different race than the aparents. does this make any sense? sorry if i am getting too personal, you can just ignore my post. i just think it is wonderful that you may be chosen so quickly.

cathy...praying for you as well. Very exciting news!

McKenna... I know that with our youngest sons bmom (who is AA), it made a big difference that our oldest son is AA, it just made her feel more comfortable. (We are both caucasian). I'm sure this is not always the case, but it did make a difference with her (she chose us just a couple weeks after our attorney rec'd our profile).

Talking McKenna

I know that all expectant parents are different when selecting families for their child. In our first adoption, my daughters birthmom was looking for a Bi-Racial couple that was young, no kids, and that lived in her state (CA). She was matched with a family that fit all that she wanted. Well, after a few weeks the soon to be adoptive mom started being rude to her and only cared about the baby. She decided to decline with them..That's when we came into the picture..The Social Worker had shown her our profile and that's the rest of the story.. It's so funny because we were in our 30's and lived out of state...God has a way of making things happen the way they are meant to happen..

Now this expectant family that may chose us..She is Domentic Repulic/Hispanic and the father is Jamacian...What a gorgeous baby they will have..
So that baby will be mixed..

I also know that we were shown to her because we do have a multi-racial daughter..I don't know exactly what they are looking for..

Thanks for all the replies..If this is not the one for us, God will have other plans..Thanks for all your prayers..If she doesn't pick us, I will still be so happy for the other family..

Cathy

PS..And the expectant mom wants to be a DR..

McKenna

They don't know the sex of the baby. I don't know if they will find out..But it's exciting not knowing..We knew that when we were matched with T, that she was having a girl!!! We wanted a girl real bad...But this time, we don't care. We would love to have a boy, but whatever God has for us, that is just fine!!

Cathy,
You have such a wonderful attitude over this situation. I hope you are chosen, but if not, I just know another situation will come your way.

Smile Update on possible match!!

I didn't get a call yesterday from our agency, so I emailed them last night. She told me their office was so busy and didn't get a chance to call. She did tell me that S will give her answer on Thursday...That is ok because the expectant mom should take her time on picking the family that is right for her. She must like both families!!!

I do pray that she will pick the right family for her..If she doesn't pick us, I will be happy for the other family..

Cathy

PS..Thanks for all your prayers..
