Hi, my husband and I are new to the adoption process. We did get some info on Lifetime. We are aware that they are facilitators. We got info on their AA program where they say they currently have a grant and you would pay 500 to apply then 5400 fee which is put in escrow until you are matched. They would try for 4 months. If you are not matched you would get your money back. I would appreciate any input on this.
Thanks! |

My only suggestion is to make sure that if you receive a placement, and it doesn't 'pan out'....meaning that the birthparents decide to parent..........you receive a refund on all---or at least most of your deposit.
There ARE (emphasis only here) agencies and facilitators that will refund a major part of your money (if not all of it), should the match not work out for that reason. This is especially true for many agencies/facilitators that deal with AA and bi-racial placements. I do not know how great your financial resources are, but it IS (emphasis only) possible to have your profile in several places w/o having to pay a major deposit you may not 'get back'. And.....if you are wondering about the reputation of Lifetime, place a post in the state of which Lifetime is located and often someone will be able to tell of their experiences with them. Sincerely, Linny |

Hi Deenie,
We are working with Lifetime and are very happy. We have actually been to their office several times and have met all of the staff in person. They have an excellent reputation! We decided to work with them after seeing first hand how they were with our best friends who went through them and were matched with an infant daughter who is now two mos. old. The entire staff is very supportive of both birthmothers and adoptive families. They always get back to us right away when we call or e-mail. They are treatiing us the same as they did before we paid them any money. They are always warm, welcoming, and professional. I don't know how their AA program works but I do know that there are a lot of AA babies on the web site. Judy |
