Talking Very excited begining adoption process

My name is Angela and my husband is John. We are begining the adoption process and are very excited. We have an Adoption Facilitator and have begun home study process. We do not know anyone who has been down our path. We would love to hear from anyone who is or have adopted.

Welcome Angela!:)

Hi,
We are also working with a facilitator. Our home study was completed last week and we are waiting to be matched with a birthmother.

These forums are a great place to come to meet some great people, get encouragement, give the same, vent, share the joys and the ups and downs.

What type of adoption are you doing? We're doing domestic this time. We also have a daughter from Romania.

Hi Sophie and welcome! Looks like you're off to a great start. We've adopted four times. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. There are alot of very supportive posters here.

Welcome!

Glad to meet you, Angela. I agree this is a great place to find encouragement and learn new things. Sometimes we just need to talk to people who have been there. Or even just lurk around and see what others are saying.

We too are waiting to be matched. We're using an agency, but I think the bulk of the experience (emotions, fears, triumphs, blessings, revelations, etc.) is much the same. I hope you'll feel free to ask questions and share your journey.

Welcome Angela! I guarantee that you will meet people who are touched by adoption in one or the other as soon as you start talking about your journey! We knew one couple (a neighbor) that had adopted when we started exploring adoption. Since then I can't tell you how many people we have connected with just by mentioning that we are adopting. Seems like everywhere we go we run into someone that has been touched by adoption!
good luck!
Pat

Welcome Angela..

You have found the right place to be. The waiting game is the hardest part. Atleast it was with me. You will have ups and downs during your waiting process. We are all here for questions that you have. I'm sure you will have alot of them.

We are adopting again and it's so exciting. Just waiting to be matched!!!

Good luck in your adoption journey and I hope your baby fines you soon..

Cathy
