birthmom means Bowel Movement....and other abbreviations/meanings
Ok this is a much needed thread....for all who wonder and wander in ignorance....lets forever put to rest the meanings in the language of adoption and abbreviations.....
Feel free to add any I may have missed.... birthmom means Bowel Movement AM means Morning Bmom/dad means Biological Mother/Father or Birth Mother/Father Amom/dad means Adoptiove Mother/Father PAmom/dad/parents means Potential Adoptive Parents DH.............means Dear Hubby, Darling Husband etc.. DW.............means Dear Wife, Darling Wafe etc... DD..............means Dear/Darling Daughter DS...............means Dear/Darling Son BD...............means Birth/Biological Daughter BS................means Birth/Biological Son or Bull S**t (hee hee) BF................means Boyfriend or possibly Birth/Biological Father GF................means Girlfriend ISO..............means In Search Of IMO..............means In My Opinion IMHO............means In My Humble Opinion LOL...............means Laugh Out Loud ROFL.............means Rolling on Floor Laughing ROFLMAO......means Rolling On Floor Laughing My A$$ Off PM Me...........means Private Message Me AA ................means African American Cauc.............means Caucasian TT.................means Talked To, Talk To DID I MISS ANY.....please add to this and keep it at the top!!

Sorry!I have a real problem with BS meaning Birth son. I put that in the same category as birthmom for birth mom.

LMAO- Laughing my *** off IMO-in my opinion (alternatively, JMO- just my opinion) I prefer bson for birthson. I've also seen bsib used (birthsibling). ~ Shar

I thought, ok I am a reasonably intelligent person....but it took me 3 months on these boards just to figure out the first ones!
And with all the confusion lately, I just said WTH (what the heck!) Here are some more THX ....means Thanks TY.......means Thank You YW ....means You're Welcome CW....means Case Worker *grins* means the person is grinning at you *hugs* means the person is hugging you and really anything inbetween 2 asterisks means that person is doing an action *looks to see if anyone is laughing* *blushes* DOB....means Date Of Birth The only real reason for any of these abbrev.'s is because we spend so much DANG time on this forum posting msg's (messages) that the less typing we gotta do....the BETTER! Lets keep it at the TOP of the list!!! TY everybody for your support! *group hug*

I almost forgot...
SIL , BIL, MIL, FIL.........are the In-Laws....Sister in Law etc.... and TTC means Trying to Concieve PG means Pregnant MC means Miscarriage PCOS means Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome IVF means In Vitro Fertilization IUI means Intra Uterine Insemination By the way, there are some abbreviations that are used so much for so long that the actual meaning is forgotten by some and actually unknown by the younger generation!!! IE, ATM, VCR, CD, DSL, to name a few!

BRB = Be right back ROFLOL IPMP = Rolled On The Floor Laughing Out Loud I Peed My Pants GGP = Gotta Go Pee So... BRB GGP = Be Right Back Gotta Go Pee These are used mostly for instant messages... but sometimes, some of these posts make me about PMP ( Pee My Pants) from LOL!! HA Con
