Four Adoption Terms Defined
There has been a lot of discussion in some of the threads I've been reading regarding the concept of "real parents". This reminded of something I read a while back in an article on Respectful Adoption Language.
I thought it both appropriate and amusing. Four Adoption Terms Defined Natural Child: Any child who is not artificial. Real Parent: Any parent who is not imaginary. Your Own Child: Any child who is not someone else's child. Adopted Child: A natural child, with a real parent, who is all my own. Tim |
