What type of adoption are you planning to proceed with? Foster adopt? Domestic? International?
You can probably find a local adoption agency or social worker near you who is licensed to do homestudies for the type of adoption you are looking to go with.

I would like to adopt in state. I have been through the local classes called ( mapp ) in our area. I wanted to fostering to adopt but I am not going to be able to. I am a licensed home child care provider and they will not allow more then 7 children in a home. I am licensed for 8. Even If I never have 7 in my home I am licenesed for that so they will not allow it. GRRR! I do not have any more then 4 children at a time in my home on a normal basis.
So now I am looking into adoption first no fostering. Lisha
