Question Utah Adoption

My husband and I were referred to an agency in Utah called "A Act of Love". Has anyone worked with this agency? Can anyone provide any info good or bad. They seem to be costly but with a quick time for referrals.

Thanks so much -- Happy Saturday!

A couple I know of adopted through them recently. I understood their final bill to be 18k. It took them 6 months of waiting I believe from the time they were approved. I heard that each month they were told of a "situation" and asked if they would want to be included in the profiles available to the Birthmom.

If nothing goes through wtih my own agency by next year I will probably try and come up with enough money to go through them, though I still want to hear more about them too if anyone else knows anything.

Good luck to you!

A Act of Love Adoption Agency

We have adopted through A Act of Love two times. Yes, they are expensive, but they were absolutely the most professional in handling our birthmother and the costs for her and in our going to court to finalize. They do have a lot of referrals---we adopted biracial situations and both times only had a waiting period of about a month from the time our homestudy was updated until the birth of our children. I would definitely say to check them out----Isn't adoption great?!!!

Rightmom

P.S. We have adopted 6 times, so I have had a lot of experience with various "agencies"! If you can come up with the money, I would definitely talk to this agency---if money is a little tight, I would still talk to them and get on their list---but do not send any money until you are ready to match---They DO need families---I do not send money for retainers any more---there are lot's of babies out there just waiting for us to find them!
