Angry family problems

What are the duties and responsibilities of A Guardian ad litem, and what can a peron do if they feel that they have been misrepresented(and can prove it) by the Guardian ad litem?

A guardian ad Litum is appointed by the court to represent the child, not the parents or adults in a situation. If you feel that the child has been missrepresented, concerning you, then you could hire an attorney to represent your interests before a judge. The Guardian investigates all sides of a matter then makes a suggestion to the court as to what is in the best interest of the child in a given situation.

Question Thanks but?

Yes I know the guardian ad Litem represents the child, but what are their responsibilities? I.E. do they have to be able to back up what they report with facts or can they just report what ever they want without supporting documentation. Are they not supposed to talk with the childs school teachers and counselors?
And what can a childs guardian do if they feel that a guardian ad Litem has not preformed their job in a professional manner? I know that a guardian ad Litems will not always make everyone involved with the child happy, but if there is gross negligence and open hostility from the guardian ad Litem what can you do?

Talking additional info

I want to know if pushing for a new guardian ad Litem and having their report destroyed is an option, after the fact. And if not is there anyway to bar this person from doing this to another family in the future?
