Hi! We are in the process of adopting a 13 mo. old boy from Russia. We want to adopt a baby girl as well. However, we can't afford another expensive international adoption. We would like to find out about adopting domestically. Can anyone suggest a program or a facilitator?

You could try an attorney. sometimes they work with birthmoms and adoptive parents. My attorney works with birthmoms and adoptive parents. My attorney is a private practice attorney and does adoptions and other things.

Jennifer, congratulations! We adopted our son at 14 months old from Russia in 12/01 and it was a very unique and memorable experience!

As for the domestic program, I would suggest going to http://www.adoptivefamilies.com and get their 2003 agency book. It will give you a LOT of information on agencies all around the country!
