I am an adoptee and i have started the search but i am trying this on my own as i cant afford the arm leg and left nut these agency's want. So i started off the day talking with A family members trying to get info , I did get some and was able to find out that i was adopted through a luthern church so LSS was the agency. I called and well they went any help they couldnt tell me if they handled my adoption . So i called the Church i attended as a child and asked if they had a record of my baptism and they did , i was like allright !!!!!!!!!!. till she read me the information they had my name right but the birthdate on record is a month after what i know as my birthdate .so i look at my amended BC and i notice that the filing date is 4 days after what i kow as my b-day so i look at my childrens BC and the filing dates are roughly 1 month after thier b-days ... why do they make it so **** hard for us to try and locate people and why do they want so much money for an intern to type in a last name on the computer?????????????????????

I just saw your post and know that it has been some time since it was originally posted. I wanted to ask how your search was going? Have you made any progress? What state are you in?

Are you aware that there are search angels out there that can help you? Search angels will search for little to no fee. Usually the only fees involved cover expenses they incur while searching for you.

I just wanted to offer encouragement to you and support. It can be very frustrating to search.
