Here is the website of the Florida site that will give you info:

The Florida Department of Children and Families

You can also contact your local office to get more information.

I was 20 and my husband was 21 when we started fostering. We live in Georgia and this was almost 2 years ago.

You are probably okay as far as age, but I know that in TX, where I live, they made us wait until we had been married for two years before they would let us foster (we were able to begin classes slightly before that).

Different states probably have different rules about that though. One agency told us it was 1 year to foster, but two years to adopt.

Where I live you have to be at least 21 and if you're married, married for at least 2 years.
