Taking my fost/adopt child back...
.. to her birthplace!
I just had a friend come over to tell me all about just getting back from taking her adopted son to a 2-week visit to Hungary, so he can learn about his heritage and all that good stuff. I told her: "I guess I have to take my kids to East L.A." - she looked at me puzzled. It was just too funny, I actually have a sense of humor, who would've tought? I was ROFL, but she didn't get it!

I too took my boys back to their "birth place" in St. Louis. Actually, they both loved it (at 5 and 4)
 We are going back in may, and will probably do the same thing again.

I took her to St. Louis to visit a friend in 2006. Went to a game and to the Arch - That was cool!
East L.A. is like 20 minutes from my home.

LOL well I am coming from Central BC Canada, so a bit further
 lol but my kids DID enjoy seeing where htey were born!

Last week I just realized my OB for the baby I'm pregnant with is the same OB that delivered A1. I told A1 and she thought that was so cool. I promised to take her to one of my appointments so she could meet the doctor that delivered her into the world.

With the same amazing man for 13yrs Mom to a wild and crazy bunch:   AD - A1 - 7 yrs (adopted Oct 2005) AD - A2 - 3yrs (adopted Dec 2006) FD - A3 - 2yrs old (placed Nov 2006) FS - C - 16yrs (placed July 2007) - One's on the way... due around July 2008Total of 102 foster children and 3 foreign exchange students at last count.

My kids were both born less than three blocks away... it would be a long and enjoyable trip, I'm sure
