We are currently foster parents for a two year old that we hope to adopt and we have been called to take two other children but we declined them for different reasons,this all happened in a one year time period,you should call your agency your working with and increase the age limit you have on your paperwork that you filled out(such as if you said you were only interested in children up to 5 years old maybe increase that to 7,8 or 9 years old)also,race is important also,keep your options open,if you requested only a certain race you may be missing out on alot of children,also,request sibling groups.Call your agency and soon I bet you will have some children in your home.

i am a foster parent and just hang in there it took us ten months to get out first girl,and she was sent from heaven,we had her for ten months and in dec she went back home,and we still get to see her,just hang in there,and have alot of love ready for her

We also are with out a placement just now. We have been fostering since nov 98, and todate have cared for 29 children. The last ones left us 3 weeks ago, the last 3 weeks seem more like 3 years, friends keep saying enjoy it while it lasts but it is not that easy, we have never before been without children since we started and we cant wait untill we get the phone call asking us to take another child/ren
