checking on kids who have went back home?
Does anyone know if there is a way to check and see if a child you once fostered is back in the system? I know they are minors, but is there a database or something a case manager can check etcc?

This is what I've done. When the child is RU, I call my LW and tell her that IF the child is ever returned to foster care, I would like them returned to my home. I don't think she'd just tell me they were back in the system if I didn't express an interest in them returning to my home tho. hth

I was told by the Child Advocates office to write to the judge so that if RU fell through they would have to place child back with us.

In our state we stay in the children's record as their last foster home and if the placement worked or not. If they are placed in the system again, we get the first phone call for placement.
