?'s on Kids from Group Homes, are they legally
free? Is there a difference between kids from a Group Home and ones from a Foster Care system or are they the same? I was told due to the fact I want Teens only that I will get mine from the Group Homes, some of these kids I am told go in at 2 and never get out till they are 18. How sad not to ever have a forever family.

Welcome! Not sure who your source of information is but do hope you will run to other sources for information and advice!
Kids in group homes are often in the foster care system but not always. Those being available to foster or adopt generally are ... and most don't go in at age 2 and stay til 18 ... different levels of care are tried (therapeutic foster care home, regular foster care home, independent/mentor living programs for the teens 14 and older, etc.) until a level of care they can survive in is achieved ... Are you home-studied? This board has a wealth of knowledge and advice and information and more to share - ask questions and you shall receive information! Hope this helps ... a start ... even us oldies but goodies who have done this for a long time still learn new things all the time!
