Pray for us too

Pray for our family too, we may be getting a newborn soon. Our fs's bio. mother is due any day and I'm 99% sure we'll be getting the baby, of course there's always that 1%. FS has been with us for 13 months.

God Bless ~ Mommyto9

Red face Wait is Over

Hello, and I'm so happy for you on your placement of the baby. We have twins that were premature. I find it easier to sleep where the babies are, if you will be putting her downstairs, I would suggest that you sleep down there with her at least until you know she has adjusted to your home. The biggest part of why she doesn't sleep right now is probably just that she is getting used to a new home. My girls are in the bedroom nextdoor to the twins, we find a fan for some white noise helps drown out crying at night. I sympathize with your want of sleep, but enjoy watching her now, they really do grow up way too quickly, and you never know when the placement might end. Good luck, and keep us informed!!

Well, I now know we were never meant to have an infant. Little M has really caused a lot of problems. Om and Raj are constantly mad at me. DH's blood sugar is out of control from the stress of M. This is the 1st time since being DX with diabetes over a yr ago that this has happened. And of course I haven't slept. We're all eating frozen food and canned veggies. M is sleeping in the masterbedroom with me and DH is sleeping in the pink room on an air mattress. He's decided to travel for work this week just to get away from M and stablize his blood sugar. And M has to be moved this week. We can't afford for DH to get sick since I'm a stay-at-home-mom; we're a one income family.

I'm really thinking that our infertility was a blessing in disguise. I adore Om and Raj, am so happy to have them as my sons. I'm really starting to ask myself of fostering is for us anymore. (fostering infants definately is not....how I long for those terrible 2s.)

Well, I think M is finally asleep, so I can get back to bed.

Leena,
Reading your post made me realize how it takes all of our differences to make the world go 'round. I could not imagine taking a toddler or older. I'm sorry for the disruption and your dh's health problems. I'm glad that you are a strong woman and know what's best for the family you have and (as you know) this little gal was meant to be a blessing....just not yours. Hang in there until the move.

tlc4kidz, i was thinking the same thing. there is a reason some of us are cut out for babies and some are better starting with toddlers/preschoolers. i always admire those open to older children. i love starting with them as babies.

my little one is just precious. she sleeps pretty well at night and usually only gets up once. my son thinks she is the greatest and is already very protective. i don't think she has been in anything but pink since i got her! it truely is her color
