Waiting to find out if we are in a staffing

My husband and I found out about two different baby girls in our area. Dfs had asked the sw in the area to submit files of possible foster/adoption families. Because both are infants there is a lot of interest. My question is: do we keep checking in with the baby(s) sw to see if we are picked? Or does that turn them off. They are only going to pick 5 files so I really want to keep are name in front of them. I am just not sure if they look at it a bugging them or we are just interested. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
