This whole experience has been disheartening to say the least. No communication, phone calls never returned, and now it looks like they're completely blowing off this whole bed bug bite thing and are still going to allow FS to go with his father. It's obvious that child services doesn't care about the children enough to do what's right. We don't want to go through this mess again so when foster children are gone, we might tell them to take us off the list.

Have you thought about going with a different agencey/office? Is that even a posibility?

The first agency we contact denied us due to misinformation on their part. Even said "no" when I pointed out their obviously erronius reasons. I'm kind of glad, in that if they were that misinformed on such a simple issues (they could have just used Google to find the correct answer) then what other things would they have given us a hard time over? We went with a different agency and have had no problems.

I'm sorry it has been so hard. Doing this is hard anyway. Others don't need to make it more difficult.

i am sorry you are having sucha rought time and that the kiddo does not have the greatest social worker. With my last case the kids CW never contacted me and the kids were moved 4 times in 3 months! I remember being sooooo incredibly frustrated for everyone involved.
I thought i got myself into a bad sitution, being a foster parent, and that the system is so broken.
however, i now have 2 boys with the greatest CW ever, and I am so happy i stuck with it.
I think I may take a break after the boys are gone, and I think sometimes we need to do that.
I also talked to my LW about working with kids of different counties. The Main county here is so overwhelmed the CW dont seem to care, but in the county i live in, ( neighboring county to the main county) the CW seem much better. Do you have the option of taking kids from a smaller county?
I know you were not really asking for advice. I just hate to see a good foster home go away, because the system is so broken!
