Talking New placement coming tomorrow!

Just got a call for our second placement. We currently have a 2 month old and now we'll be picking up a one year old AA. We are all so excited to meet this little man Hopefully we're not taking in more than we can handle, wish us luck.

Good luck! I'm very jealous I'm really hoping for my second placement soon and would say yes to another baby if the opportunity presented itself. 2 babies is a lot of work but if you love babies it's definitely worth it.

Happy for you. Sounds fun. When were you licensed and how long after did you receive your 1st and 2nd call. I love hearing news like this! Let us know how it goes.

We were licensed the end of Dec 2011, the day we were licensed we received our first placement. We have had calls for a second but we were not yet ready to take on another but the need is so great here in Alberta Canada that we decided to open up for one more We are totally excited and feel as ready as we ever will, lol

Home2six thats great. Seems like things are moving fast in your area. I hope everything works out for you, your family and the new addition. Do you have any bio kids? Are you open for more placements or is 2 your max?

We have six bios the oldest being 16. In Alberta the max placements you can have is two in the first 2 years. After that along with 96 hours of training you can add two more. The max is four placements unless you have sibs.

Wow you are one busy mama. Big families are great and seems like you'll have tons of help. Your foster kids will receive so much love in your home. I am really happy for you and the lil babies. Ok so Alberta differs from the states. Thats cool though.

So our new placement is not coming after all. I should remember not to count my chickens before they hatch!

What a bummer what happened? At least you're getting calls though...always a good sign.
