2 weeks and counting...

Today has been 2 weeks from the time the judge ruled for TPR. DCS attorney is supposed to get it written up for the attorneys and judge to sign. Mom's attorney is contesting how it is written and now they have to go back before the judge to get her wording. I know that this is just a technicality, but I would like to be able to start with the 30 day appeal period. It probably doesn't help that I know mom is getting out of prison tomorrow and is probably headed this way (and I have no idea if she knows where we live!).

Anyone BTDT with tips on how to get through this part... when you are so close to the end but you have to hurry up and wait some more?

BTDT with a different technicality in the TPR process...and as Mom's attorney actually told me, it takes away a point that could be appealed during the 30 day waiting period.

Congrats on making it to this point...

Well.. on a good note.. if all they can do is complain about the wording...

Sounds like they are nitpicking and grasping at straws. Which means they don't have a a chance in overturning the ruling - and they know it

the waiting sucks; i know. hang in there. you are sooo close

Just got an email that they approached the judge this morning. The judge was willing to sign it, but wanted it to be signed by the GAL first. Of course, once he gave the ok this afternoon the judge was gone for the day. It will supposedly happen tomorrow morning.

Oh geez- You are *right* there on the step of being done! I know your case has been crazy since the initial TPR trial date of....what last September if I remember?

Do you think will parents will appeal? Or not really? Hopefully not!

Paperwork was filed mid May, 1st trial date Sept 15. They (DCS attorney) thinks mom will appeal. Dad could not surrender, but did not fight TPR and will not appeal. I guess we will see see in another month or so...
