Is there anyone on here in Mississippi? I am having trouble finding any support groups on the internet for foster parents in Mississippi. I would like to know what agency you are with and your experiences. We are having so much difficulty getting a placement. I guess we just didn't realize it would take so long.

We are in Northern, MS.
We have not had any luck looking on the net for local support groups either.

What steps have you taken so far?
So far we have contacted DHS, filled out the prelim application and are awaiting dates to start classes.

We are in Northeast Miss. We were with an agency in Tupelo but that didn't work out (it was a nightmare). We are currently working with another one in Tupelo that is foster only (we know lots of people that were able to adopt through them). One of my best friends has 4 adopted through them and her sister has one. We also know a lot others that have been with them. They are just about completed with our license. We should be getting them any day now. Are you planning on going with County?

Hi there! I grew up in a different state myself but have been in N MS for 10 years now. Sometimes I do not like it that much, but most days I LOVE being in the south! Thanks for saying HI!!
