The lawyer would be saying, your honor the concerns are that the child is not being cared for for reasons a, b, and c, and an hour later in the next hearing saying your honor this family is great, they're taking good care of this child. one factor is whether the cases are in front of the same judge.
It is the same judge, it's a small county. The cases are unrelated, the only common factor is me. But I dont see how can be so against us with fd1 and then turn around and support fd2 staying here with us, when the events in fd1's case has caused him to dislike me and and my fiance so much. Im just worried that if fd2's case goes to adoption he wont support her staying with us, out of spite. Im afraid to stand up for fd1 and it kill my chances to keep fd2! I dont want to just sit by and watch fd1 be ru'd a second time and put into a dangerous situation, because biomom's lawyer pushed for everything she wants, and NO ONE else involved cares enough to say otherwise...except me.

I am a lawyer but I would not give legal advice on a public forum for someone who lives is a state in which I am not licesned. You are definately being put in a bad spot but the lawyer should be able to do both of his jobs separately with no crossover if he is any good. I can completely understand why you are worried but, you say he is a good lawyer and part of being a good lawyer is representing your client without personal bias. The bias you are feeling is not because you are the FM for both cases but because the lawyer's position requires him to play both sides of the coin in two different cases. But lawyers are trained to do that and can honestly do it with a lot more ease than the general public would expect.
