How many kids per bedroom?

We are hopefully going to get licensed for 3 kids. We only have one spare bedroom (it's 130 square feet).
would we be allowed to put all 3 kids in there if we have 2 sets of bunk beds? (they will all be the same sex of course). Also, since I like to be prepared, if we do by some long shot get called about a sib set of 4 (I know we would need a waiver for the 4th child), do they count the square footage? Like would they say you can't have the 4th child because the square footage only allows for 3 kids or something like that?

Not sure, some places only go by square footage....others go by bodies in the room (no more than 2 kids per bedroom etc.) so that's something you'd have to find out from your particular area.

D's room is 10 by 12. And they said they'd allow one child besides d in there but If I were to trade rooms with him I could have two more kids cause my room is 12 by 14 idk if that's just my agency tho

Every state (and maybe county) is different. Check your minimum standards (guidelines).

In Texas it goes by square footage and then no more than 3 in a room no matter the square footage!

We had to get a waiver to take the sibling of kids we already had. I don't know if there is a per room limit, as we were only putting two kids in the room. We did have to measure every room and closet in the house to prove that we had enough square footage in the house.

Also, check to see if bunk beds are allowed in your area. They are not where I live.

Where I am (in VA), we have to have a minimum of 75 sq feet for the first child in the room and 50 for each additional child. So, a room of 125 sq feet is allowed for 2 children.

In NY, when I lived with mom, the room was 35 x 35 and I was able to put 2 kids in there. When I bought my house, I could put 3 in the bigger room. DSS doesn't allow 4 to a room.

In WA we were told no more than 4 per bedroom and we had to laugh because we have 4 kids' bedrooms. Did they really think we would consider 16 kids???? (I'm sure they wouldn't allow that anyway!)
