My plan is to adopt one boy and one girl. However, for some reason I had it in my mind that my first should be a boy. That being said, I am a proud Momma to a baby girl and I can't imagine my life without her.

The next adoption is going to have to be a boy because I will go crazy if I have 2 girls during their teen years.

Either one for us, but they'd have to be the same gender since they'll be sharing a room.

We specified a girl to help balance our household - it was tough being up against all that testosterone alone!

We have a "single" bedroom & a "double" so whichever combo fits. One girl, 2 boys or 2 boys one girl.

I would prefer a girl for balance (I have two boys and one girl). That said, a girl and a boy would be great! I also know I could not say no to a baby boy.

We requested a girl under 3 because we have two boys and one girl (who desperately wants a sister...even all of our PETS are boys!) We were approved for two children of either gender. We have had two girls, separetely, who both reunited. Just before our last placement, which reunited unexpectedly after only 8 days, the social worker asked if we would be open to sibling groups of boy/girl because so many are coming through our foster/adopt program. We said yes. (But then the girls will be behind again!)

At first, I specified girls because I'm single and my brother and dad lived a distance. But when I finished the homestudy, I put down either. My first placement was 2 sisters. My last 3 were all boys.

We're open to either gender. And were placed with a newborn baby girl.

We would like to adopt a girl first, if we decide to adopt another child we would not care which gender.

We started out with no gender preference but we only had one room available so we knew we'd get that same gender over and over. Finally, when we had a second room available, we begged for a girl. We've decided now that we've adopted two boys and they share a room with each other, that's enough. After our current foster son leaves for relatives, we'll only take girls. So sad, I have such adorable newborn stuff for boys that I just can't part with... "just in case".
