Well it is time for me to get off of this rollercoaster ride, it has been a very emotional ride. My first foster placement turned into my adoptive placement. Long story short, I have had a sibling group of 2 since 02/08 they went with a family member 12/08 and returned to me 1/09, both parents relinquished 06/09 and now I have a court date of Sept 2, 2009 to FINALIZE the ADOPTION. I am too excited, I am unsure if I can do this again, but then again I am up for any challenge.

I can not wait to post pictures.

My 1st placement also went to adoption; he was placed in 2/08, like your little guys. My finalization took much longer, though- 9 months!

That is very exciting news! Congratulations!

I too was able to adopt my first placement. Like you, I was unsure if I could do it again. However, after taking some time to enjoy my little girl, I am currently gearing up to begin fostering again in early '10.

My biggest fear is caring, bonding and loving a child and then they return to the parents or other family. I had a very hard time when my boys were returned to a family member. But I feel that I want to help as many kids and give them a safe, secure and living home if only for a few days. I was able to help and love them.

I was intending on adopting my first placement,but they also went to family.I thought hat when that happens you can never get them back.May I asked what happened with the kinship placement? In any case its great for you,congrats

Well I am officially the proud parent two wonderful little boys. The adoption is final no more paperwork.
