Just had to share this...
I was at the dentist with my kids today and there was this kid there with his Mom, he was playing with a ball and bat, and driving Mom nuts. It started with, "James, put that away", "James take it outside" "James I am warning you stop it now" "James this is your last warning" "James THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING" "JAMES I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T STOP" and so on and so on until eventually Mom stand up, grabs the game, yells that James must have "and extra retard chip installed in that head" and shoves the game in her bag. Well James grabs the bag and takes the game back at which point Mom describes what she is thinking of doing to James with said game...
My boys watched this whole scene play out and then listened as James is carted back to the dentist office and in the waiting room we can hear another round of "last warnings".
Well we finish at the dentist and as I am walking to the car I am suddenly enveloped in two sets of arms, which was enough to make me ask why as even thought my kids are cuddlers at home they NEVER hug me in public (they are way too old, way too cool and what if someone saw us!) and they said to me "I am so glad I got you as a Mom" "Yeah me too, you would never tell me I have a retard chip" "And you would never let me act like that"

I took something away from DD (who is 4) the other day. And she said, "You know, Mom, you are a great mom. Really. Even though you are mean." (Not as touching as your story, eh? hahah!).

Give them another big hug tonight!
