My bio DD is 12, and she likes watching TV, playing games on the computer, reading and crafts. Crafts that are good for this age are making a purse, hat or a bag of some kind. Kits can be found at places like Walmart. A trip to the local library is good. Just let them pick a book that they can read in a week. You might ask ahead of time about what kinds of food/drink they like and anything else the current foster family can tell you.

Home Spa Treatments
Hi,
Good luck with they girls. I hope you enjoy the time you spend with them. Doing a mani and pedi or a facial mask might be a fun way to spend an evening. Another fun thing (if you are brave enough) would be making tye-dye tee shirts. |

Kids love to cook! Making homemade pretzels, cookies, whatever and then boxing some up for them to take home.
Ask the kids. They will tell you what they like to do.

I recommend finding out from their current foster parents what the rules are for internet and phone, and duplicating those rules at your house. Being in sync with their current family will keep arguments to a minimum.
Unless of course the rules are way too liberal for you to handle for a week (like if they can IM anybody, anytime). Then make sure the girls know you have different rules that will be in force while they're at your home. But in general I think you'll have fun. If they're girly, a manicure or pedicure would be fun. If they're tomboys, a hiking trip. The library is good. The pool is good if you have a membership. Letting them help cook, and have a hand in planning the meals. Enjoy! |

I know my house will be full, I am not worried how to keep up with them but how the heck to I keep up with my house??? I already do tons of laundry every day
![]() What kind of movies are 11 and 13 yr old girls into? We love watching movies after we put the little ones down, I am sure they wont like the same movies as my boys. But hey...maybe I will get to watch what I want for a change ![]() again thanks everyone!!!! |
