Hate 'em

I hate the visits she has with bmom. P sees her every other week for an hour at the center and she has only been back in P's life for about a month. P has always had visits with her grandmothers (both) on Sunday's, but the mom is new. Mom has said in court that she cannot care for P, but that she wants her mom to do it. Right now the county is completing the home studys on the grandmoms and then will meet to make a recommendation to the judge, either one of the grandmom's or me. A month ago I was ready to have her stay wth me, however now, with her being 7, I'm just afraid she will not be able to get over losing her family. She is too old and knows where they are. She now cries for her mom whenever she is tired or unhappy. A month ago I was ready to adopt if the selection went my way, now I'm not sure. How do older kids adjust when they are adopted at an older age and know where there parents are and can just reach out and call them? Sorry, I rambled a little off topic, but regardless, I hate the visits with mom, because I feel they set P up to expect that she will be able to live with her when she herself has said she can't do it.

I think I am going to join in hating visit days.

C had an all out temper tantrum when I tried to leave the house with her today. First one ever, even when I used to have her on week-ends, never like that.

I hate visit days as well. Biomom and biodad apparently can't be in the same room together so once a month Frank has to go to the visit center at 8am for visit with biodad, then from 12-2 sit around with staff until 2pm when he has a visit with biomom. 8am-5pm is a LONG day for a 4 month old and I have already protested this but the worker has turned a deaf ear and thinks she knows what's better for Frank than I do. He is going to be one cranky, evil little baby tonight.
