Who said there were no infants available...
Well...I now have two in my home. Muscles, who in now 8 mos old and introducing... the Sumo wrestler, 5 mos old. This is a huuuuge baby. I swear the parents stuck a bottle in his mouth every time he cried. He is sooooo aggressive when it comes to him being hungry.

Mr. Cris, married to a wonderful woman. 10/20/08- Orientation about Foster care and Adoption 11/1/08- Started MAPP Classes 1/31/09- Received MAPP Certificate of completion 3/17/09- Received background check clearance 5/8/09- Inquired about 5 year old from Photolisting5/27/09-Home study officially approved  6/15/09- Informed "A" will be staying with his Foster family 6/29/09- Home Officially opened and on "THE LIST" 8/13/09- Received license in the mail 11/13/09-  rang regarding a 2 month old and 2 year old as possible matches11/16/09- Paternal Family filed papers for custody of 2 year old :sad:11/17/09- Informed 2 month old actually a  and judge wants her placed in Pre-adoptive home ASAP 11/18/09- Awaiting schedule of disclosure meeting which is to occur by 11/23/09 11/25/09- Hopefully 2month old will be with us! Patiently waiting to hear more

Congrats! I heard that infants weren't available much in my area either, but that's all I had been getting calls for. Enjoy both of your babies.

privatde here. we have had 3 infants in the last 8 months. we know people are being told this is not the way toadopt...but our small agency has about that are adoptable or headed that way, if not more.

I am with a private agency. Yesterday, when the cw called, she said they had 7 babies to place.
"They" tell everyone that there are no infants...This is their way of weeding people out.

Muscles is doing well so far. Sumo finds him comical.
It is only the first day, but I am okay. A little tired. Once I got him to bed at midnight, he did not wake back up until I woke him this morning. The challenge is getting in and out of the car and house. I have a small car so a double stroller is not in the cards at this time. Like I said earlier, he is a huge baby and they overfed him...His skin is really tight and stretched and extremely red. So far I can see he is behind developmentally, because he just lays there. Also, I can tell they kept him laying down because his head, back and butt are REALLY flat. There is not a "crease" for his spine. He can not turn his head because he is so overweight. It looks like his head is fused to his shoulders. We have a doctor's appointment next week and I will have a list for her..
