We had our first and only placement be moved to a new foster home in Nov last year, not the kids, but demands by DFS and the parents were becoming more violent.I know we upset the workers, they told us and the children we would stay in contact.Immediately we were told we could not see the boys as they were too attached to us and wouldnt accept new FP.Being new we did ot make anymore waves.We took a break, it was very emotional for us.Now we are back and the worker visited but no calls.She said we can also take kiddos from surrounding counties which took her nearly a year to answer that question butso far nothing.We still miss those boys like crazy but we have to move forward.I really thought there was great need for homes for these kids.They DFS pretty much use a few certain familes here,over and over.I think Im on their bad side for sticking up for kiddos too much.What next?

Hi, we are in the same boat in Alabama, sis in law started trouble that we didn't know about at first, then we made some trouble by asking for a subsidy for our fd that we were adopting because we wanted her to get what was entitled to her, then sis in law made big trouble for us, we had been getting call alot before all of this, but after we asked for subsidy we got 2 calls that were not from our worker, we took a newborn baby and after sis in law caused major trouble they wanted to move baby, but our worker "said" she stood up and wouldn't let him be moved, but we haven't gotten anymore calls from her, we are approved for 6 and have 1 so we are pretty much empty and our worker told us that trouble that sis in law caused made her not want to place kids with us. We have since completed all physicals and paperwork as soon as possible, but I called worker to ask a question about training it has been a week and she has not called me back, question before I had to end up calling her back. I hope we get more calls soon, this makes me want to give up because certain people are getting calls and we are not.

Yes, they think I am a trouble maker too. Our SW for 2 of the kids is horrible, and we had to go to the supervisor. Lo and behold we are dirt. We have taken up for these kids, stood by these children, loved them with all of our being, but we are the bad people. Don't worry too much...something good will happen to you soon. And for the people who get back at you and try to get even, they get their day. Fostering is a very good thing, and it should be rewarding.

Well we finally got a call for respite and we took it.Just for yesterday today and tomorrow but its something at least.Im really ready to get back into things.Hopefully another county calls us, we dont get far here.Thanks for the encouragement.
