vent.... warning, I am complaining!! LOL

if you don't want to hear my whining and complaining, please skip this post!!

My adoption worker is coming out today after canceling 3 times for my parent profile. I thought I had a job (need one in order to adopt) but just found out last night that I don't have it after all.
I am working on opening a daycare, but seems no one wants a mom with 5 kids care for their kids!! I have no idea what I am going to do!!!!

I am sick as a dog, and can barely talk!!! my head feels like it is about to explode!! I want to lay down in peace and quiet!!!

3 of my kids have a visit... mom hasn't shown up for 3 weeks... she doesn't care about the older 2 since the younger one is going to his bdad! They are going to be devastated if she doesn't show up!! i get to deal with the after effects of her not showing up!!

I get soo much attitude from people in public when I go out with my kids!! I need to grow a thick skin!!! my friends make comments about all the money I must be making and never invite me out anymore... never mind that my 5 are more quiet and well mannered then any 2 of theirs!!
My birthday is tomorrow... I wanted to get out, but can't find a babysitter!! Plus my baby starts his 3 hr visits with bdad!!
in a month it will be 2 years that my dh passed away...

Ok now I feel better... I needed to get this out before I talk to my adoption worker!! Don't want to let her think I am a whiney complainer!! LOL

It's ok to whine and complain to us. We're here to listen and give you a hug too.

I think you need a new group of friends - look on meetup.com for a group that meets your interest to join (they're almost all free)

I think you need a night out - check sittercity.com for a sitter (Some even have background checks done BUT you have to pay to look through them - email me privately maybe I can help you find one by using my account.) If that doesn't work then what about craigslist? I know most people are nuts on there BUT I found a sitter on there over a year ago and I love her (still.)

Jobs... are you even able to get out out of the house? I mean are the kids in daycare or school so you can work? If so is there a way to get a job at their schools - aides, tutoring, recess duty... I'm not sure what their programs have and they often don't pay much BUT at least you have it on paper....

If I were closer, I would babysit while you went out for your birthday.
Since I am too far away, I am sending you a virtual birthday gift:

--- two dozen virtual Dark Chocolate Creme de Menthe
brownies (my special, award-winning recipe)

Not to be shared with the kids!

thank you!!!!!
I actually have 4 very good babysitters... it just happens that none are available tomorrow!!

The most amazing thing is that I just now talked to a friend and her sister is looking for a waitress one day a week!! I have worked for her before... so I will be able to tell my adoption worker that I do have a job!!! Its hard to get a job because I end up paying more for childcare then I can make!!!

the township is being difficult about the whole zoning for a daycare!! But if I have this other job I will have time to work out the details!!

My kids went for a visit and mom didn't show and boy, are they fighting already!! they are sad and angry!!!

my head continues to pound but with enough coffee and meds I am able to function!!

A waitress one day a week... while your kids sit, quietly and well-mannered at the corner table and eat fishy crackers??

I nearly go out of my mind the two days a week we have to travel for therapy... and I've only got two kids.

Hang in there, you are doing a great job with your little ones!

Murphy's Law

Doesn't it always seem like everything always happens at once.

Good luck with the job. I was a waitress for a while and it was a tough but the money was great. I often consider picking up a few shifts now but then I remember I am too grouchy .

Grab some bubblebath and candy for a relaxing tub after the kids go to bed on your birthday.

ROFL!!!!I can jsut picture that one!! LOL

Sadly.... I talked to the visit supervisor and mom seems to no longer care about the kids! VS doesn't seem to think that mom will make any further effort. There is a a relative looking at taking M1, but mom seems to plan on M2 being adopted!!! I need to start thinking and praying about adopting them!! My family will flip!!!
But it has just really hard for me to accept that these sweet little ones mom doesn't care more then this!!! I love them with all my heart...

The visit with my adoption worker didn't go so well... she is very nice, and loves my kids. But I was spacey, and short with the kids, the kids were grouchy and unhappy!!

I did get flowers from my friend... and a birthday cake and a gift card for a massage from my MIL!
But I get to babysit my friends 4 kids tomorrow! Her babysitter is getting married and she couldn't find anyone else to watch her kids!!
Thanks for allowing me to vent!!

Sending hugs your way. I have 3 bios and one foster that will probably be leavign soon. But, at least, my kids go to school and so do ( I teach) and, if really begged, my 16 year old bio son will babysit.
