TPR happened 2day!
So, Pinkdancer and Spiderman's parents relinquished their rights today with an understanding that as long as the children want to maintain some type of contact, either letter, cards they would . Only way we would think about a physical visit is a report showing they were free of drugs. SO, onto the adoption path we go!!!! After 1 month our case will go to the adoption worker. WHEEW, now we just have to tell the kids. Wish me luck!

Quick question
Did you have to testify in court? and if so did you get to witness the rest of the hearing? We are at the stage of TPR being scheduled but they are months behind in our state... UGH.. anyway Thanks in advance for your answers. AND BY THE WAY CONGRATS!!!!

Quote:
We did NOT have to testify because both parents relinquished their rights...but would have had to if they didn't. And the hearing was short because they did surrender, and we were in there the whole time. good luck!

Thanks Blu! I hope it all turns out okay also. It is so frustrating when working with parents that you like but can't keep their stuff together and the child has been with you 15 months out of his 19 month life.
Then our second mom is just not able to intellectually keep it together. If only love was enough! I was told today that I will probably have to testify because both sets of parents are not under any circumstances going to just sign over rights.. |
