New placement

I was taking a break for a few weeks after the siblings left two weekends ago, but my CW called today with a placement and I had to say yes. It's a sad case. Dad has already voluntarily terminated, Mom is young and has absolutely no support system at all. The little girl is 1. 5 yrs old and this is her second time in care. Mom can't keep a job, has no car and just doesn't seem to understand that she has to go to work and has to do things for the baby. She was evaluated by Mental Health, but failed to qualify. Seems like she is just barely over the limit on IQ and such. The CASA has been helping her everyday since early Dec. Even paid her rent. The Mom now has another 180 days to work another plan, but this time they are working on going toward TPR so the baby is legal risk. Still, it's sad to see a case like this.

On the good side, the baby is beautiful and healthy. She went right to sleep without any fuss! Seems to eat anything and just has a joy in her eyes. She has been getting ECI therapy for development and speech, but she doesn't seem to be too far behind. I've been told she needs structure and discipline which is why my CW wanted her with me. Apparently we're known now for having a good structured home were kids will be taught and disciplined correctly.
