Smile what does the inauguration have to do with fostering?

Well, I'll tell you.

Several years ago my parents were foster parents for a teenage boy who had both been sexually abused, and then abused someone else. The whole family had come to crisis when it came out- there were 3 brothers, the oldest went to a group home for teen sexual offenders, my parents took placement of the middle son (who was 6'6" at the time, now 6'8"!), and the youngest son, who had been victim of both brothers, stayed home with his parents in intensive therapy.

Well today that youngest brother marched in DC in the inaugural parade as a member of the Army honor guard. And the middle son is an Army Ranger, on his way to an "undisclosed location".

Just made me happy to hear and thought I'd share.

Thanks for sharing! How far the middle son has come! I hope all are doing well.

My 10 year old fs is not interested in school AT ALL...RAN to school this morning because they got to watch the inauguration at school! (I thought it was really neat that he is so excited!)
