Need advice on how to navigate people w/ different opinions

I have a little issue that I'd like some advice on with how to navigate a social situation with a close acquaintance who has different values/opinions than me when it comes to adoption, but I'm concerned about it being permanently placed here for possible future reading by the person in question who could possibly identify the circumstance in relation to other info about me on the board.

Anyone who feels like an old pro at it want to PM or chat ( Adoption Chat )?
