Hopes up...

So, I just heard there was a story on the news where a 5 month old and 2 year old sib set were taken from a home. It is in the county next to us. A county that has no openings in foster homes. A friend in my county just got a sib placement of similar ages a week ago from full county. Now, I keep wondering what will happen. Will we get a call? I assume they are in emergency care right now while DCS figures out what is going on. My friend's palcements were in e-care for a few days before she got the call about them. Could we get a call next week? Will I always wonder when I hear stories on the news?

So, now I get to wonder about it for a while...

Is there anyone you can call from the children's county (or your own) and ask about them??

Seems like it can't hurt to ask....but they're probably scoping out kinship prospects and all that.

Yeah, I am assuming they are looking for a relative and deciding if the kids need to stay in care. I have been trying to call the neighboring county and get our name out to them, but have not been able to connect yet. I will try again Monday.
