It's official!
We just got the word that we are officially licensed foster parents! We are open to birth to 12 months (possibly a little older if it is a sib set with a little one...)
Can't wait for the phone to ring!!

Congratulations! Are you all ready for a placement? We had our first placement less than 48 hours after we were official.

Ella Bella (23 months old) - Waiting to finalize!!! Hopefully in 1/10 Visting with Libby Loo's three older siblings (Cara Bear, Patch & Rocky). Hoping for adoptive placement in Jan. If you counting that is SEVEN forever kids. Yes we are crazy... crazy blessed.

This is my first post, and I'd like to start it by saying Congrats to you!
I just finished my homestudy last night (wooohooo) and am waiting on notification on the Foster license and placement from my sw. (she hopes to have my report done and ok'd by her supervisor by the end of this month) I'm still finding my way around this forum, but am so very happy for everyone who is travelling this road of Foster care and adoption.

Waiting for a new matching meeting.  Scheduled annual Foster License inspection for Dec. 10, 2009 Match didn't work for us.  6/25/09 Officially matched! w/ 'J' Contacted 2/27/09 about a match/ had to decline. Waiting for SW to come back from vacation to be matched! Offically waiting as of 2/4/09 Home Study completed 1/8/09 Foster Licensed 12/26/08 Bio Mom of one boy, hopeful mom of two!

We said birth to 12 months. But, we would probably say yes as long as the child was younger than Cameron... Especially if it was a baby and a 1 or 2 year old sib!!! We are approved for 2 kids.
