First day home all day with Little T - Loving it!
I just needed to take a minute to let you know how much fun we're having today (especially after my earlier post! I don't want to give anyone the impression that we are not THRILLED at the blessing of having this little guy at our house.)
He woke up on his own after sleeping 12 hours. This little guy is so sleep-deprived. Since we all had snow days, we just let him sleep as long as he was going to sleep. So far today, we have had breakfast, gotten ready for the day, played CandyLand and Lincoln Logs with dh, and we just finished making (and playing with!) homemade Koolaid playdough. He is writing on a journal right now - just numbers and his alphabet, but we hope he's able to draw or write about his feelings when he feels ready to do so. We've had PBS on, and let me tell you, just the idea that we finally have a child in the house and can listen to Clifford and Sesame Street on our TV just makes me smile! (And WordWorld rocks - I've never heard of that before!) Things are going great! We are so thankful that we are able to keep him safe for as long as we have him. BTW, the goal is definitely RU. Next court date is near the end of January, so we have him at least until then. But I imagine it will be then or shortly later that he goes back to Mom.

How awesome! Will you post the Koolaid playdough recipe?

Sure! I can't seem to find the site that I found this on, but here's the recipe we used:
2 1/2 cups of flour 1/2 cup salt 2 packages of KoolAid 2 cups of boiling water 3 Tsp oil Mix together everything but the water. Then, add the water slowly, stirring/kneading with a spoon. We ended up adding more flour, because it was too gooey. After it felt like play dough, then it was kneaded with hands. (Ours was lemonade, and it wasn't too "smelly", but I've done it with grape before and it smelled really strong!)
