Should I give mom a Christmas Picture?
So I took my dd and fd for Christmas pics last month. I was going to frame and wrap one of fd for mom as a Christmas gift. However, at our visit this week the topic of Christmas came up. Mom does not celebrate Christmas and it isn't because she is of another faith.
Should I still give her the pic? It is obviously Christmas themed (dress, ornaments, etc.).

Its a picture of her child. I'd give it to her just because of that.

Can you ask her?
Are you comfortable with asking her? Say you know last month I took her for pics and we did "christmas" pictures. I realize now you don't celebrate christmas would you like the picture still?
If not you might think about going and taking a winter themed pic instead just one pose and buy one portrait for her.

Good idea. I'd just ask. If you have a Sears around you OP that has a portrait studio in it they often offer packages like that for under 10 bucks. The packages come with several pictures of the one pose so mom can maybe distribute some of the pictures to other family members. We do that with our foster kiddos. The parents have always been so appreciative since most are in treatment/without jobs and can't afford to purchase such pictures themselves much less have the ability/permission to take the child to get them done themselves in the first place. |

Great idea Christian's-Mommy. I am comfortable asking her and I'm pretty sure she'll want the picture, but it shows more sensitivity to ask first.

I agree. That way you're covered no matter what. I bet she'll want the picture. ![]()
