Update.

My dh went to court and he said the Judge was furiouse. She did not agree with the sw decision, gal also did not agree. She said that this baby's life has been on hold long enough and already was in a good home and really did not want to change the goal. So instead tpr and adoption by foster parents is still the goal, but in 60 days. She told dad that he better be perfect becouse one small mistake and its tpr. So we will see what happens in 60 days.

Shycar,

How do you feel about that ruling? Also, how long does dad have to appeal TPR decision in your state?

Yash Im angry. Its all the sw. She is big on ru. Everyone wanted tpr, the judge did, the gal did, our agency did. Only sw wanted to give him more time. This is not the first child that he has lost. He did the same thing with the others, he came and went, came and went. Im so affraid that he gets her back and a few years I look up at children needing to be adopted and see her picture there and a explaination how she has so much emotional issues. Im just sick and mad.

After tpr they have 20 days to appeal. So 60 days for the tpr and then dad and mom have 20 days to appeal.

I'm sorry that it is being drug out longer for Punky, and that it is only 60 days. I say that because it is harder to do everything perfectly for 6 months than 2 months, but of course no one wants thing to be drug out another 6 months.

What a situation for the poor baby.

Wishing you a speedy two months!

Shy,

I feel you. When I saw Rowan's CW trying to force/guilt birthmom to have visits I wanted to scream. Rowan was baby number 11 and birthmom had custody of none of her children.

It kills me that some CWs seem not to want to protect the children. I know their job is to put the family back together, but how could you look in these children's faces and want to hurt them and punish them more than they have been.

Whoa. Rock on, Punky's judge! I'm so glad that SOMEBODY is finally thinking of little Punky and doing what's right for her! If bdad only has 60 days to complete a full plan, my guess is that this is going to head south and you guys can get a TPR. I'm praying for you, and for stability in Punky's life.
