Angry UGH! Still no word on my license!

Ok, I have called and called. We were suppose to have it by the end of July. We are asking for children F/A ages 4 to 15 and would like sibling sets. Can someone PLEASE say a little prayer that we can at least get an explanation? We are both so discouraged. And if I hear one more person ask me if we had done something wrong in our past I think I will scream!
Thank you!

That is ridiculous. Even if they found an issue with your homestudy, you should have heard something by now. I am rather surprised given the fact that you'll accept teenagers.
I don't know how far up the ladder you've gone, but keep going higher. In my experience, if I didn't have any kids in my home then they NEVER wanted to hear from me.

We actually got our first placement 2 days before our licenses arrived... and had our first call a week before that!

I know what you are going through. I finished classes at the end of May. Told them that my family and I were going on Vacation in June. Called the first of July, and they had not even submitted it!!! Then there were 3 changes of CW, and I still do not have it. My suggestion is CALL, CALL, CALL.

Today I was asked to do respite for a 13 year old, but had to turn it down ( I only want to work with children up to the age of seven), I was assured that they will have my liscense next week.

I know they are sick of hearing from me, but until I get my kiddo's, I'm going to keep on them!

Good Luck!

Oh, I have been calling! Didn't get so much as a call back this week. We both are getting fed up and tired of the run around.

We've had the same problem. What our CW told us was that a lot of the Social workers take their vacations during the summer when its slower, which means the rest have to pick up the slack and that makes it busier than other times of the year, but doesn't affect the kids. Maybe that's what is happening to you too.
