You know what really irks me off?
They have a waiting list for babies, but not the older children. Even my 2, when we met, asked us "why us...why not a baby"? Just like I told them, just because you're 9 and 10 doesn't mean you're any less deserving of love than an infant, and we knew that infants almost always have homes (except special needs ones...which is another thing I detest), so we knew we wouldn't even look at infant adoption. The only way I will have an infant is if we ever did decide to foster...OR, if I had one biologically (we're not trying, but not preventing...but with a 5 m/c track record, it's doubtable we'll ever have a bio). If we ever adopt again, we'll adopt birth order (younger), and if our SW doesn't like it, she can bite us. I mean, now 9 and 10 would be birth order being my baby girl is almost 13 and my son is 11.

heehee--I say that all the time! Good for you--the sw isn't God, the sw is part of a team of people helping children and families in crisis. To tell you you can't have a baby or younger child--to make that decision unilaterally--uhuh--definitely can bite me too! |
