Double Stroller Questions

Hello all,

I need help, I want to buy a double stroller, can anyone recommend a good one. There are a lot on the market and I don't want to buy a yucky one.

I also saw a Fisher Price Double stroller wagon, which you pull instead of push? Does anyone have one or know if they are any good.

thanks.

I don't know the ages of your kids... but we had a eddie bauer one for a couple of years, it was ok, there wasn't much storage.

We recently bought a sit-n-stand by baby trend and LOVE it!! The baby sits in the front and my 2yo and 3 yo can sit together, it recommends only 1, but it also has attachment so if u need it for an infant carrier. There is storage on the bottom and it also has cup holders. It's also easy to steer.....

We have a Peg Perego, which I LOVE. It's very durable and easily fit my boys when they were 4 and 5. However, Peg Perego is VERY Expensive. Since they are durable, I would go 2nd hand for sure. Try Craigslist in your local area. You can also try Ebay, but shipping will be very expensive. I've also seen them at local consignment sales. I'm a 2nd hand shopper, so that's always my first thought ).

I LOVE the Peg Perego Aria side by side. I'ts expensive, but I found mine on craigslist for $40. I wish my son were younger so I could use it longer!!! It folds up so small & fits thru standard sixe doors. It's also 60/40 w/ one seat being slightly larger for the bigger child (not sure if it would matter if you have twins)

I LOVE, LOVE this stroller & would have paid full price years ago if I knew how light & comopact it was.

I have two duobles and I love them both for different reasons. Both of mine are side by sides, I'm not a fan of the tandems. I have a Valco Twin runabout and I have a Baby Planet one (not sure of the actual model - I think they only make one). The Baby Planet one is very compact and folds quite small. It does have some minor issues (one of the visors pops off on one side, but is easily reattached), but over all I love it. I bought it off of Craig's List for $100. Now my Valco is what I consider the cadillac of strollers. It's super comfy for the kids, pushes like a dream, BUT it is large and heavy-ish. If we are going anywhere for any length of time, the Valco is my preffered choice. For errands and quick trips, I always take the Baby Planet.

THis would affect what I would recommend as well. If it is a situation with an older toddler/preschool and younger toddler/infant, I would recommend a sit n stand. For me anyway, it worked and moved just like a single stroller, wasn't as long and gave the older child some freedom but also the ability to buckle them in for safety (or in our case, timeouts) when necessary.

We also have a double jogger which is wonderful for walks or outdoor outings. We have used it in malls too, but it only works for us when there are two adults as it doesn't fit at all into the smaller stores. And you can get inserts for babies to secure them as well.

I found the regular tandems just so big to push but then, I borrowed an older one for awhile. There are newer ones that are more compact I think.

This is the one we just got for our 1 and 1 1/2 year olds.

Originally, I wanted a side-by-side style but this was a much better pick because of my neighborhood's narrow sidewalks. Great price too! No complaints here.

We have the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Plus Stroller and it's incredible. The seats can be moved into various directions so the kids can either face each other, both face forward, both face back, or one forward & one back. It's great and also has a huge basket beneath that goes the entire length of the stroller. It comes with an attachment for an infant carrier should you ever need it and it has toddler handles for the walkers to hang on to. I can fold it up and fit it the the trunk space of my PT Cruiser and as an added plus it's currently on sale!!!

we have the same one and i absolutely LOVE it. I can push my 4 yo and 2.5 yo one handed if i need to. i would reccomend this to anyone, we also looked at the Graco Quattro, I liked it just as much as this one but the cool turn around options sold me. Plus this the Contour is bigger, it may be a downside for some but to me a bigger stroller means more room for my older kids.

We had the new Graco double stroller and I Hated it!!! It was so hard to push.

We just bought a BOB revolution Duallie and I LOVE it!!!
We took it to Disney with us and it was a life saver. We have our 3 year old and 5 year old in it and there was plenty of room

It is expensive, but we got it from upsideover.com and used a 15% off coupon (can be found by doing a search), they had free shipping and no tax. It saved us about $170.

I know I already commented saying that our Kolcraft is awesome, but I wanted to add that if price is not an issue the BOB Revolution or BOB Sport Utility are the way to go. They are pure quality and can even go through thick sand on the beach! I've also seen by reviews that although they are side by side strollers they can fit through most doorways and I'm hoping to save up for one by Christmas.

I have an Inglesina quad. The thing I absolutely love about it is that I can use it as a single, double (side-to-side or tandem), triple or quad. I also have 2 styles of bases for it. One has 5 inch swivel wheels and the other has 10 inch pneumatic wheels (no swivel).

I got it used on-line 3 years ago. Yes, it is expensive, but well worth every single penny.
