Pray for safe..

surgery for teeny. Teeny is getting surgery tomorrow, its minor, but he is so little and has so many health problems that makes it a little more nerve wrecking. Please pray for a safe surgery and a fast recovery.

Talking Amazing experience

Thank you all for your prayer. Teeny surgery went well and he is already feeling much better. He got to come home yesterday.

I well tell you all it was an amazing experience. His parents went and I was very impressed. They kept putting their son first. When they arrived he was a little grounchy since he did not eat anything since 3am. They immidiatly grabed him and that upset him big time. They kissed him and put him back on my lap and he calmed down. While we waited for them to take him back, which ran two hours late, we talked. They told me their life, their other children that were removed. They told me that they are very happy he is with us, mentioned that in the other home he looked very sick and dirty. That it would be opposite he would be happy at visit and cried when they took him. They told me that if he goes to tpr they are telling the judge to not move him to family, to keep him with us. They said they are trying really hard, but they know its a hard habit to break. During this time they would try to hold him on and off. Sometimes he did well and sometimes he did not. When he would get really upset they would say "Oh ok here is your momma _____" and put him right on my lap. When they took him we all said goodbye and gave him a kiss we all told him we loved him. My eyes and his moms eye got watery. Then we sat and kept chatting.

After surgery only two of us can go back in recovery room. Mom and I went back and she told me to hold him first since he was more attached to me. I held him and he cuddled. Then I passed him to mom and oh boy he got really upset. He screamed. The nurse was thinking he was in pain and was going to get more pain meds. Mom said " No need I know what he needs, he needs his momma ____". Sure enough once in my arm he calmed down. Dad came in and kissed him, but left him in my arms. Then it was time to go and they kissed him goodbye and we said good bye.

It was a great experience. I really got to know them and see them as humans. I saw how much they loved him, even though it hurt them to see him more attached to me they let me hold him more so he can feel safe in this hard time for him. If we do adopt teeny it will be a wonderful story to tell him, how much his parents loved him.

Glad to hear that he is doing well. It is always tough when anyone has surgery, but it just seems scarier for the littlest ones.

It is nice to hear that his parents were able to put him first and that you both had such a positive interaction with each other. It is a nice moment to have for him, I would try and write it down so that he can take it with him no matter where he goes in the future.

I hope he recovers quickly.

Wow, that is such a great story. I'm soo glad there are still parents out there that put their kids needs in front of their own. I'm glad that you guys got to know each other more and understand where each of you are.

That is an amazing story. I had tears in my eyes, thinking of how they loved him enough to make sure he felt comfortable and safe. It is so wonderful to hear these stories of the foster families and biological families being able to have a relationship... Glad he is doing well!!!
