FC Board Rate
Can anyone tell me the current FC board rate for a child 0-5 in PA,particularly Phila?

May 2008- Attended orientation June 2008- Second homestudy completed June 2008- Possible placement of 15 month old:  , fell through  June 30, 2008- Officially Licensed to foster  August 5, 2008-Possible placement of 12 month old: , fell through August 6, 2008- Possible placement of 12 week old :  , fell through August 18, 2008- Possible placement of sibling group- 4 yr old and almost 1 yr old , turned it down Waiting Patiently for the call

Currently foster mommy to 3 yo  and 4 yo  Previously Foster Mommy to 2 yo  & 4 yo  , 9 yo  , 5 yo  .

we get 40/60 a day, but we go through an agency and get kids from surrounding counties

In my state which ranks at the bottom, you would receive $236 a month. Which in NO way covers the expense of the child.. which is why I wonder how anyone could just be in it "for the money".

Don't have Philly rate but, for comparison, I'm in NJ and I get $746.79/month (which includes a $60 clothing allowance) + $573.30/month daycare stipend for a child whose 3 yrs old. And, trust me...I pay plenty out of pocket too!

I live in Philly but go through another county, rate is between $17-22 and if needed (Almost always needed) a clothing stipend of $200-400. it may be more for medical or disabled children, not sure.
