Building grants?????

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I have been hearing about building grants for foster and adoptive parents, it is where you get a grant to help build a new house. We need a bigger house, we are approved for 6 children, but our bedrooms are small and clothes and toys don't fit. Does anybody know how I can find out about this? I would like to have a bigger house so that the children have more room.
Thanks

i was wondering too, we are almost finished with our addition and they have a kid waiting for us already. it will end up costing us about 30k (all borrowed, of course!) in the end.

Gee I would be very interested to see what everyone has to say about this as well. Hubby and I raised two bio children in a small starter home of 1200 sq ft, with 3 bd/2ba. That was tight enough when they got into their teen years as our sons room was 10 x 10. We got into foster care, and were blessed with an adoption of three children. They were all infants when they were palced with us, adopted after 2 and 3 years respectively after fostering. So now they are 6 and 4 yr old twins. We finally decided to buy a bigger house with more square footage in Sept of last year. We made enough money to afford the house on just what my husband made (I am SAHM). However they still needed the income info for the adoption assistance we get from the state . One of the caseworkers in Nashville, who we had to contact to get a letter showing we got this money and what it was for, made a very nasty comment about "the adotion assistance is NOT for buying a house". I was very offended by this. Often aware there are alot of uneducated individuals who have the misconception that foster parents do fostering for hte money. WHat a joke. I had the underwriters send this "lady" a term I used lightly, the papers showing we were not relying or even claiming this money to finance our house. So please let me know what everyone finds out.
